Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper, located in Eindhoven. The Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper will manage daily financial activities, including preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Tasks include overseeing accounting operations using appropriate software, financial reporting, and providing analytical insights to support business decisions. The position reports to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities

• Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
• Perform data entry and administrative duties and check accuracy and completeness of transactions
• Process intercompany transactions
• Check and send sales invoices to customers and report customer aging
• Check and register purchase invoices and report vendor balances
• Coordinate and perform bank payments including salaries 
• Process bank statements and support Month end closing
• Process inventory write-offs
• Post general journal entries and memo entries
• Manage Payroll process including monthly salary payment slips, wage taxes and social security 
• Register and Report WKR and linked taxes calculation
• Support Finance Director in multiple activities (VAT, Audits, Fixed Assets register, Loan agreements)
• Continuous improvements in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting
• 7+ years of relevant work experience including prior experience as Financial Accountant or Bookkeeper
• Strong financial acumen including knowledge of general accounting principles and ability to analyze financial effects
• Experience working with Business Central Software and AFAS Payroll systems
• Excellent data entry and record keeping skills. Accurate, detail oriented and analytical under deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with team members worldwide
• Personal initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges to find effective solutions
• Ability to improve bookkeeping processes, reporting and utilize relevant (IT) applications
• Knowledge of Power BI is desirable
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
