Are you a talented and enthusiastic Senior Electrical Engineer?

In the coming weeks, as industry begins to ramp-up again, we will need an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team to support upcoming projects based at our Antwerp or Brussels office.

• Lead various projects from an electrical perspective and be part of a multidiscipline team.
• Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions.
• Provide support to fee and capital budget proposals as required.
• Assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue electrical packages in an efficient and lean manner.
• Mentor electrical engineering staff at junior and intermediate levels, if required.
• Contribute to improving departmental processes and ways of working.
• Check other electrical engineers work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews.
• Have extensive and independent contact with clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel.
• Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings.
• Direct and/or participate in project site visits to monitor, review and sign-off electrical installations.

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimal 10 years' experience in industrial engineering design
• Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This include (but is not limited to) MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas and specialist control systems
• Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices
• Commercially aware and have ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients
• Commercially aware on project execution, control of budgets, man-hours and change control
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents
• Have a strong working knowledge of carrying out short circuit calculations, load flow and discrimination studies utilising proprietary modelling software (Caneco)
• Professional approach and demeanour. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business
• Good knowledge of the Belgium regulations is required
• Good command of Dutch or French and English is required
