continuous improvement to aim for fully satisfied customers by delivering perfect

sequences through cross-sectoral collaboration.

The mission of this role is to lead and facilitate improvement projects for sequence processes and support new product Introductions. Develop and apply methods of measuring the performance of the production process. Support the Production in order to ensure product quality, short lead-times and ‘short time to market’.

A Sequence is the manufacturing blueprint on which we base the logical order of building our machines, taking into account safety, cycle time, manpower, efficiency, et cetera. As an Expertise center Sequence Engineer you are involved in issues as second line support in the production process in the EUV factory (EF).This means that you apply your technical knowledge and skills to solve issues that directly impact the cycle times of these state-of the art, highly complex lithography machines in order to secure the trust of our customers. You are the bridge between Development and the factory to maintain the overview of the optimization of the manufacturing operations.

-> Sequence Ownership:

Create, maintain, and improve the NXE manufacturing sequences

• Create a sequence according to design specifications
• Verification of BOM and preparation of material kits for the shop floor
• Prepare and facilitate the sequence CCB meeting
• Be the single point of contact for Production- and Development Engineers w.r.t.
• Scanner build & test sequences
• Validation of work preparation in the NXE factory
• Align your work with our customer: Manufacturing in order to fulfill the EF requirements

-> New Product Introduction:

Bring your knowledge to bear on (new) product or process development projects, in order to foresee production problems in the design phase and in order to improve the manufacturability of the product and test design.

-> Continuous Improvement:

• Continuously adapt, optimize operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators.
• Analyze the production process (Cycle time and Labor Hours), points out structural problems and bottlenecks, work out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded Departments as Development, Supply Chain and Customer Support.

Contribute to the rapid solution of complex faults and take the necessary initiatives and practical decisions.

• Minimal bachelor or master in: Engineering
• We are looking for candidates with a relevant Educational background and affinity with a production environment
• Experience with working in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes is an advantage
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an advantage

The sector Manufacturing within Operations is responsible for the production of Extreme Ultra Violet machines. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within the Manufacturing Departments in the EUV factory. In the factory, the department of Production Engineering continuously adapts, optimizes and supports the manufacturing processes. We actively achieve the impossible!

The holder of this position reports to the sequence group leader within the PE department within the EUV factory.
