Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure Projects

For one of our market leading clients in Eindhoven, I'm recruiting for a Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure Projects.

Your role:

• You are responsible for managing complex projects with great breadth and depth and/or political and administrative sensitivity, from project plan through to implementation and delivery, in order to deliver the requested project result within the set framework.
• You coordinate, manage and control projects on Sustainability, Risk, Money (budget), Organization, Time (planning), Information, Communication and Quality (DR-GOTICK).
• You lead your projects based on the process rather than the content. You do, however, understand the content in broad terms.
• You are broadly deployable in various complex and politically-administratively challenging spatial projects (investment and operational projects) in which stakeholders play an important role and you ensure integrated solutions and make decisions in this regard.
• The senior project manager independently manages project teams consisting of subject matter experts, external parties and partners.
• For large project assignments, you guide junior and mid-level project managers in carrying out sub-projects or themes within your assignments and you are relieved of your responsibilities by a project assistant.

This is what you bring:

• You have completed a higher professional education (HBO) or university degree and have extensive and relevant work experience (at least five years) as a project manager for spatial projects, for example, at a municipality, spatial consultancy, or project developer. You have demonstrably completed all phases of a project.
• A strong background in infrastructure projects, specifically in large-scale redevelopment of roads and traffic systems, is a strict requirement.
• Knowledge of the EPPM/IPM project management collaboration model and skilled in applying the associated processes, products, roles and responsibilities in all project phases.
• Products such as project plan, prior agreement, environmental plan, preliminary and final design, consultation, administrative file, development plan, management assessment and tender are familiar territory for you
• You are innovative and courageous; this is demonstrated by your ability to stimulate 'out-of-the-box' developments and, if necessary, to take unpopular measures and/or well-considered risks in the interests of the project.
• You have political and administrative sensitivity and are aware of your surroundings; you are able to assess administrative influences in a (complex) political and administrative environment, you actively identify and anticipate demands and wishes in a complex environment.
• You analyze your projects and communicate about the next steps; you see the connection between problems and the context, recognize interests and choose an appropriate way to influence the other person.
• You are proficient in the Dutch language, both orally and in writing.
