Senior Financial Controller

About you

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will oversee financial control activities (planning, actuals, closing, and reporting) for Corporate Service Units in the Netherlands. You will join a team of 7 FTEs, ensure compliance with international and local standards, and act as a business partner for financial activities.

Your role

• Ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial closing and reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Lead the NL FC&A EMEA CSU team of 7 controllers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Deliver financial insights and recommendations to the sub-regional lead FC&A EMEA NL and stakeholders.
• Define and follow up on corrective actions in case of closing issues; organize monthly review meetings.
• Help represent finance in the national leadership team and act as a business partner across functions.
• Prepare annual financial statements and help for internal and external audits.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within financial processes, systems, and controls.

What you will need

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling or CPA/ACCA certification.
• Big4 background or previous experience in manufacturing would be ideal.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting/Controlling.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting processes, and financial control.
• Proven experience in supervising and coaching junior colleagues.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems (SAP FI/CO is a plus).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proactive, resilient, and motivated with a drive for continuous learning.
