Production & Service Engineer

RiverD International BV designs and produces unique high-quality optical instruments for in vivo skin analysis using Raman spectroscopy. The instruments are sold worldwide to personal care and pharmaceutical industries and to universities and university hospitals. In addition to instruments for skin analysis, RiverD also develops Raman spectroscopic instruments for other medical or life sciences applications.

We are looking for a Production & Service Engineer to strengthen our team in a full-time role.

Your role at RiverD:

As a Production & Service Engineer you will play a key role in the production and service of our instruments. You will be involved in manufacturing and testing, as well as in the continuous improvement of our production processes.

What you will be doing:

- Assembling and testing fine opto-mechanical instruments and fine mechanical components

- Performing quality control of incoming parts and subassemblies

- Improving production workflows and optimizing inventory management

- Working in accordance with the ISO 13485 standard

Education:

- Mechanical MBO-HBO study (mechanical engineering, precision mechanics, mechatronics, instrument maker)

- Proven affinity with optical systems and/or electronics

Working experience:

- Preferably 3 years of experience in a comparable position

- Experience in working with precision mechanics is highly valued

- You have worked with a Quality Management System (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or other)

General characteristics:

- Quality conscious with a hands-on mentality

- Practical and structured

- Good verbal and written communication in English

- Prepared to travel abroad for instrument installations and servicing

- You are a team player who communicates clearly, who proactively supports colleagues and focuses on the common goal.

Other requirements:

You must have the legal right to work in the EU.
