About the role

As a Product Owner at Methis Consulting Netherlands , you’ll work on high-impact projects for top-tier companies in the energy industry. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring seamless delivery of cutting-edge solutions. Our HQ is in Amsterdam but our consultants work in a hybrid mode at the clients site (2 to 3 days a week) and from home. Every 2 weeks we co-work in Amsterdam with our entire team. The ideal candidate has proven experience as business analyst in IT-implementation projects.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the development team delivers maximum value.
• Develop a clear product vision and roadmap, aligned with business objectives and market trends.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, providing clarity on requirements and addressing queries promptly.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
• Monitor product performance and customer feedback, using insights to inform future development.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the utilities sector.

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the utilities sector (energy, water, gas, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear deliverables.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with technologies and platforms relevant to the utilities industry, such as SAP, field service management, asset management, smart metering, etc
• A proactive attitud e and a passion for driving sustainability and innovation in utilities.

What we are looking for:

• Master's degree in a business economics, business engineering or technology-oriented field (ICT, business analytics, engineering, computer science)
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in an IT-implementation project is a must.
• Proven experience , specifically as a Project manager of Product Owner in an IT-implementation project is a must.
• Utilities sector experience is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years working experience.
• Affinity with ERP (SAP ECC or S4, SAP IS-U, MS Dynamics, IBM Maximo, Salesforce) is a plus.
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with working with JIRA or Azure Devops
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Mother tongue Dutch. Your English is professional. This is a must.
