We’re looking for an experienced Lead Delivery Architect to guide the delivery of secure, high‑assurance cloud environments for organisations operating in tightly regulated sectors. This position centres on shaping customer‑specific sovereign cloud deployments while coordinating a multidisciplinary engineering team through design, build, and operational rollout.

This is a role for someone who enjoys technical depth, delivery ownership, and working directly with customers to build platforms that meet strict regulatory and security requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the full delivery cycle of customer environments based on enterprise-grade Kubernetes and associated cloud technologies.
• Work with customer stakeholders to understand regulatory constraints, security standards, and technical goals, translating these into practical platform design decisions.
• Drive the implementation of automated, auditable, and reliable deployment patterns using modern IaC and GitOps methods.
• Lead a senior team of engineers, providing direction, removing blockers, and ensuring consistent delivery quality.
• Define and refine architecture around cluster layout, tenancy models, networking boundaries, and sovereignty controls.
• Act as the go‑to technical escalation point for issues arising during delivery or early production stages.
• Ensure deployed environments remain stable, secure, and aligned with agreed governance and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate closely with wider platform teams to align on best practices, guardrails, and roadmap developments.

What You Bring

• Strong hands‑on background with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes setups.
• Demonstrable experience delivering production cloud platforms in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of automation tooling, infrastructure-as-code, and GitOps workflows.
• Awareness of the security and compliance expectations common in regulated or public‑sector contexts.
• Ability to provide technical leadership while still engaging directly with engineering tasks when required.
• Clear communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in government, justice, defence, or other regulated industries.
• Understanding of European regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIS2, sector‑specific compliance models).
• Prior involvement with globally distributed platform engineering teams.
• Relevant cloud, security, or Kubernetes certifications.
