We are currently seeking candidates to hire HR Officer. The HR Officer serves as the primary contact for all HR matters within Weesp, playing a key role in fostering a culture of high performance and ensuring adherence to Dutch employment legislation. This position is responsible for delivering operational HR excellence across the organisation, providing proactive and accessible support to employees and managers at every level. The HR Generalist supports, coaches, and guides managers in the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, promoting best practice and legislative compliance throughout the business

What will you do in this role?

• Provide advice and support to managers and employees on all employment issues, including the interpretation of employment policies and practices.
• Serve as a point of contact for staff queries, fostering a supportive environment and promoting open communication. Address and resolve employee relations issues in line with Dutch labour law.
• Lead in managing employee absence in Weesp and oversee the ARBO system to ensure all absence-related matters are effectively recorded and addressed.
• Support the performance management process by providing advice on probation periods, and performance improvement plans.Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of performance management processes.
• Support with the planning and delivery of training and development activities.
• Support initiatives aimed at promoting employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programmes. Encourage and support line managers to apply organisation policies, procedures and programmes.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process in Weesp, including job postings, CV screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees. Collaborate with line managers to understand talent requirements and ensure a seamless induction experience.
• Work closely with the HRBP for Europe, supporting the implementation and maintenance of people plans. Assisting where appropriate with talent development and change management.
• Support, contribute and where appropriate lead, on HR related projects to add value to the organisation.
• Keep abreast of relevant employment legislation and industry best practices to ensure practice and approach remain complaint and in line with best practice.
• Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits as appropriate. Including, benchmarking/researching new or alternative incentives in line with business objectives.
• Administration of payroll to ensure accurate data is shared for processing.
• Support the maintenance of HR Information and systems in line with legislation.
• Generate HR reports and analytics as needed.
• Assist with other HR administrative tasks as required.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Be fluent in Dutch and English
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Sound knowledge of Dutch employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Previous experience of HR project work
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
