To support our growing presence in Europe, we are looking for a Business Support Manager (Operational excellence, Solution design and Engineering) to join our team in Venlo, the Netherlands.

What you do on a typical day

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by overseeing the design, development, and implementation of automated and scalable operational solutions
• Start initiative projects including engineering, solution design and create business cases and drive successful implementations
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts to interpret operational data, generate actionable insights, and translate them into practical process enhancements
• Leverage dashboards and reports to proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across departments
• Lead cross-functional projects to implement data-driven changes, improving productivity, operational efficiency, and service quality
• Oversee inventory control operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and the application of process automation where possible
• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the team, fostering a culture of innovation and alignment with site goals

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Proven experience logistics engineering and solution design and familiar with continuous improvement
• Prior experience in contract logistics is a pre-requisite
• Good understanding of automation technologies and their application within a logistics environment
• Demonstrated people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams effectively
• Proven project management experience and a mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Fluent English and preferably native Dutch, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills
