The energy transition needs you as Technical Solution Lead

As Technical Solution Lead at Alliander, you are crucial in steering the technical strategy and vision of our Vital Infrastructure. You take overall responsibility for developing and maintaining this environment together with a team of experienced engineers.

You advise stakeholders on innovative technologies, ensure these technologies are integrated into our solution architecture, and strengthen collaboration with suppliers. By actively following developments and spotting opportunities for optimisation, you contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. As the key contact for the Product Owner—both functionally and technically—you safeguard the quality and future-proofing of our technical solutions.

• Developing functional and technical designs that comply with architectural guidelines.

• Ensuring the technical implementation aligns seamlessly with consuming teams.

• Safeguarding technical quality and application knowledge levels, and advising Product Owners on technical lifecycle management.

• Coordinating problem-solving in a structured and effective way.

• Coaching team members on technical content and stimulating innovation within the team.

• Identifying and implementing improvements in processes and technologies.

You will work in the Vital Infrastructure team, which aims to help Alliander accelerate in the area of Vital Infrastructure. You will collaborate with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and experienced engineers.

With your drive, you excel as a Technical Solution Lead. Agile working and effective problem solving are second nature to you. Collaboration and clear communication are the foundation of how you work. Sounds good? Great. In addition, you bring:

• HBO+/WO level of working and thinking, preferably an IT-related degree, and at least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Expert knowledge of IT solution architecture and implementation, translating functional into technical requirements.

• Expertise in on-premise datacenter infrastructure, specifically VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX) and enterprise hypervisor management.

• Experience with Storage, Backup and Disaster Recovery, including NAS/block storage (NetApp MetroCluster, S3-compatible object storage) and enterprise backup strategies (preferably Rubrik/Dell EMC Networker).

• Knowledge of Automation & CI/CD (Infrastructure as Code principles, e.g., Ansible, GitLab CI/CD) and understanding of Networking & Security (segmentation, load balancing, firewalls) in virtualised environments.

Attractive salary and benefits package

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

• a gross monthly salary of €6,311 to €9,016 (scale 11).

• annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary, including 8% holiday allowance. You can have this paid out, or use it to buy extra days off—your choice.

• 24.5 days’ holiday per year, which can be topped up generously from your IKB.

• an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary (paid in December).

• a Sustainable Employability budget of €500 per year, for example for sport or hobbies, making your home more sustainable, or reducing your student debt with DUO. You decide how to use it.

• an NS Business Card for sustainable commuting. If you travel by your own transport, you will receive a kilometre allowance.
