JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Regulatory Compliance Officer , you are part of the small 5-person QM/QA team and play a key role in ensuring full compliance with chemical legislation (including REACH & CLP). You support senior management in decision‑making, collaborate closely with Sales and Technical teams, and act as an expert resource for customers and internal stakeholders.

You will maintain REACH dossiers, monitor regulatory developments, ensure that safety documentation is accurate and up to date, and represent SESE in industry committees.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

• Monitor (European) chemical regulations such as REACH candidate list updates and new CLP classifications.
• Prepare, maintain and submit REACH dossiers for chemical substances.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding product regulatory compliance.
• Provide regulatory information including REACH (EU/UK/KKDIK), SVHC status, OR statements, e‑SDS and exposure scenarios.
• Maintain internal regulatory databases: substance lists, formulation breakdown lists, use maps, OR administration and project statuses.
• Deliver monthly regulatory status reports.
• Represent SESE in committees such as CES and Reconsile.
• Liaise with ECHA, auditors, authorities and other external partners.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent (toxicology‑related) education (must have)
• Strong knowledge of chemical legislation: REACH (EU/UK/KKDIK), CLP, POP, food contact, cosmetics, biocides, etc.
• Experience with IUCLID6, REACH‑IT, CHESAR, ART.
• Familiar with SDS and technical product documentation.
• Excellent communication skills; reliable and able to handle confidential information.
• Working in a project-based manner, preferably with knowledge of tools such as Asana
• Critical mindset and ability to work independently.
• Master the English language and be fluent in Dutch
