Quality Assurance Compliance Manager

The Opportunity

An international pharmaceutical organisation with a strong focus on innovative and specialty medicines is seeking a Quality Assurance Compliance Manager to support its global innovation portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of GxP compliance, global quality systems, and complex international operations . While based in the Netherlands, the position operates on a truly global scale, partnering closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams across the US, Europe, and other key regions. The hiring manager for this role is based in the United States.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that quality systems not only meet regulatory expectations but actively enable the reliable delivery of innovative therapies to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a global QA Compliance partner for the innovative drugs portfolio , spanning development, tech transfer, commercial manufacturing, and lifecycle management
• Ensure ongoing compliance with GxP regulations (EU, FDA, ICH, and other global authorities) across sites and partners
• Lead and support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and health authority interactions , including preparation, execution, and follow-up
• Own and continuously improve elements of the global Quality Management System , including deviations, CAPAs, change control, and risk management
• Provide quality oversight for external manufacturing partners and suppliers , ensuring consistent compliance standards
• Identify emerging compliance risks early and work cross-functionally to mitigate impact on supply, timelines, and product integrity
• Support quality governance, metrics, and reporting to global leadership
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing compliance, business needs, and innovation speed

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Significant experience in Quality Assurance / Compliance within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Proven exposure to innovative, specialty, or complex drug products (e.g. sterile, biologics, novel formulations, or advanced therapies)
• Strong working knowledge of EU GMP and FDA regulations , with experience operating in a global regulatory environment
• Experience supporting or leading regulatory inspections and managing complex quality issues
• Comfortable operating in a matrixed, international organisation , with stakeholders across time zones
• Confident communicator able to influence at senior levels
