For our client - Dutch truck manufacturer - we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Test Engineer.

Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of data analysis and real-world vehicle performance? We are looking for a Field Test Engineer to join a leading Dutch truck manufacturer. In this role, you won't just sit behind a desk; you’ll be the bridge between technical development and the road, ensuring every truck meets the highest standards of reliability.

The Challenge:

As a Field Test Engineer, you lead the preparation and execution of customer field tests. You are responsible for transforming internal test requests into actionable real-world trials, ensuring that every mile driven provides valuable insights for the future of transport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Execution & Analysis: Setup and execute field tests in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. When issues arise, you don’t just spot them—you dive into data logger information to perform root-cause analysis.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of testing processes and outcomes, ensuring that every result is accurately evaluated and documented.
• Vehicle Management: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and oversee necessary rebuilds or hardware/software updates.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, drivers, and dealers, ensuring smooth communication throughout the testing lifecycle.
• 24/7 Support: Participate in a periodic technical support rotation (hotline) to assist customers with urgent inquiries or field issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of corporate "Long Run" endurance standards and develop new test procedures to enhance overall testing quality and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Electronics) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle testing.
• A valid truck driving license (CE license) is required for this position.
• Proficient in measurement techniques and familiar with various testing equipment and tools.
• Strong background in test data analysis and statistics.
