Conventional Machinist

What are you going to do?

You start your day in the fabrication department and discuss with your colleagues which parts need to be made or repaired that day. Then you work independently on:

• Conventional turning and milling
• Small-batch work and repair work
• Machining parts by drilling, sawing, tapping and (mobile) boring
• Occasionally working on CNC machines
• Maintaining machines and hand tools
• Registering worked hours under the correct job order numbers

You work accurately, think in solutions, and have a strong focus on quality and safety.

Waar ga je werken?

You will start working at our client: an internationally operating technical company with a strong focus on fabrication and metalworking. The organization is professional, but has short communication lines and a no-nonsense mentality.

You will work in the fabrication department in a small, close-knit team. The atmosphere is informal and collegial: working together, helping each other, and also room for humor. You are given trust, responsibility, and the freedom to learn from your work.

The location is easy to reach and set up for safe and comfortable working conditions.

Who are you?

You enjoy technical craftsmanship and like working independently on parts that really matter.

Hard requirements:

• Experience with conventional machining
• VMBO / MBO education in metalworking (MTS/LTS is also fine)

Additionally, it helps if you:

• Have a Machine Fitter / Machinist level 3 diploma (or similar)
• Have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one
• Work accurately and are willing to take responsibility

Because you often work independently, it is important that you keep a clear overview and handle machines carefully.

What can you expect?

In addition to a full-time job of 38 hours per week, you can expect:

• Salary between €2,800 and €3,650 gross per month (depending on experience)
• Possibility of being hired directly by our client
• 25 vacation days (full-time)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer
