CNC Machining Operator

Our company performs repair and remanufacturing of marine engines parts, the CO2 footprint of our processes being 6 to 7 time lower than the CO2 footprint of a new part.

We are now looking for a CNC Operator for our Kruiningen workshop

As a CNC Operator, your work will consist of machining and finishing. You don't work alone - even though the work requires a high degree of independence, you receive support from your team leader and your teammates. To succeed in this position, you have a good attitude and a willingness to learn.

Who you are:

For the more experienced we expect you to have a good understanding of manufacturing standards and experience working with all kinds of metalworking machinery; you have gained experience in other production environments and have knowledge of production processes.

For the less experienced or starter we can start a special program consisting of one (first) year work-based learning. You will learn basic metalworking skills, turning and subjects such as materials theory, reading drawings, even learning Dutch. You learn to prepare your machine and your material for production. You learn to perform various machining operations.You work 3 days in our company and 1 day at Trade centre where you also get time to work on your school assignments under the guidance of a practical trainer and you receive 1 day of theory. When finished satisfactory we can extend the learning program.

CNC Machine (lathe) Operator, main responsibilities:

• Setup and basic maintenance of machine tools.
• Machining of components according to specification.
• Arrangement of tools and fixtures.
• Use of measuring equipment.
• Quality control of own work.
• Use of other equipment [i.e. drill press, hand tools, band saw, etc.]
• Use of overhead cranes.
• Continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, positive, safe work environment.
