The future of transport demands smart, innovative electronics. At our client, you play a key role within the Vehicle Electrics & Electronics (VEE) Systems team. You ensure that complex vehicle systems, such as climate control and steering modules, integrate and function seamlessly. As an Automotive Engineer Vehicle Electronics, you focus on engineering support for low-voltage vehicle control systems. You work specifically on systems such as the Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM), Cab Climate Control (HVAC-CCC), and on-board chargers (USB-C). In this role, you act as the technical link between the client and system suppliers.

You realize progress by strictly aligning technical requirements and guaranteeing software quality. You work closely with the Supervisor and Lead Engineer and take technical leadership over electrical features. Your workplace is dynamic: you are regularly found on-site at the Research Centre or Manufacturing to provide hands-on support.

Your responsibilities:

• Aligning technical requirements, including diagnostics and functional software behavior.
• Providing software support for various systems, including creating and releasing parameter files.
• Writing clear diagnostic documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Leading the SE team regarding electrical development features of the systems.
• Conducting technical consultations with client stakeholders and suppliers to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
• Reporting on the status and progress of the development process to management.
• Solving technical issues (using methodologies such as FRACAS, eWarp, and EPN).

To be successful in this position, you possess a strong technical background and specific knowledge of vehicle electronics. You are an expert in your field and know how to translate theory directly into practice.

You bring:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with CAN communication and diagnostic protocols.
• Proficiency in using Vector CAN tools, such as CANalyzer and CANape.
• Experience with Automotive Control Systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• A salary between € 4.500,- and € 6.500,- per month based on 40 hours
• A contract for the duration of the project for 36 to 40 hours per week
• A monthly individual choice budget (IKB) of 10.66% of your salary that you can use flexibly
