System engineer

Are you a passionate System engineer eager to push the boundaries of innovation?

As a system engineer you will play a key role in eLstar’s new product development. You define critical design requirements of the overall system architecture, based on data derived from experiments performed by you. You can quickly identify roadblocks and act upon them and are capable of quickly grasping the essence of complex issues and bring concrete practical information to the table, on which decisions can be taken. You clearly communicate technical aspects internally as well as with customers in a clear and to-the-point way and guard the technical scope of the project.

Your Role

✔️ System design: Deliver design requirements of crucial parts of the revolutionary eLstar Dynamics dynamic window, based on solid (experimental) data, and making sure it is supported by the whole organization.

✔️ Executing experiments: Perform in-depth experiments to support your design requirements.

✔️ Product mindset: Have a clear focus on the product and its requirement and knowing what it takes to develop and manufacture a successful product.

✔️ Structured Way of Working: Apply proven, structured methodologies for design of experiments, and (concept) design and validation.

✔️ Documentation & Knowledge Management: Systematically document experimental results, concepts, designs, and crucial choices therein, and knowledge gained from investigations

✔️ Awareness: Clear awareness of budget constraints, time, functionality, and manufacturability. Being able to balance well between conflicting requirements.

What You Bring

✅ You have worked at least 5 years as a system engineer in a high-tech company working on complex systems and possess solid understanding of system engineering.

✅ Having a strong experimental mindset and way of working

✅ Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Engineering, Optics, Electronics, or a related field.

✅ You have deep understanding of fundamental processes in physics, especially particle dynamics and interaction. You have also strong knowledge on electronics and mechanics.

✅ You have strong experience in physics modelling.

✅ You have experience with manufacturing technologies.

✅ Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
