The Cluster Female Reproduction Specialist is a role responsible for female reproductive support across Asia, working with both the cluster team Asia and global team to ensure Topigs Norsvin advices are transferred to costumers, partners and colleagues in the Asian region.
Position within the organization:
· Be part of both Global and Cluster Technical Services team understanding the needs of our partners.
· Reports functionally to the Global Nutrition and Female Reproduction Services and hierarchically to the Cluster Technical Services Manager (Africa and Asia)
· Based in Asia with access to an international airport hub
· Responsible for reproduction services within the Africa and Asia Cluster. .
· Collaborate intensively with the departments Research & Development, Global Nutrition Services, Cluster Technical Service team and (international) daughter companies, distributors, franchises and agents.
· Participate in key account teams for global customers.
Key deliveries:
· Setup and execute plans to maximise the potential of fertility performance on farms utilising Topigs Norsvin Genetics..
· Provide reproduction support to our local subsidiaries, distributors, franchises and global customers.
· Support the development and implementation of new protocols, tools and products.
· Address problems and questions arising about the fertility of Topigs Norsvin genetics in Asia.
· Contribute from a market perspective to the reproduction and fertility research platform.
Activities:
· Visit and provide support to existing clients and prospects.
· Setup and execute improvement plans to improve fertility performance on farms.
· Develop training programs for new and existing Asian partners following the “train-the-trainer” approach.
· Support development and implementation of new techniques and tools.
· Overcome problems and barriers to
· Keeping your knowledge and network around reproduction (technologies) up to date.
Requirements:
· MSc or PhD degree in Animal or Veterinary Sciences or comparable study.
· Knowledge of reproductive physiology in swine (practical experience is a plus).
· Strong analytical skills.
· Excellent oral and written English. Ability to work in an international setting and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Important competences are planning and organization, market and customer orientation, problem analysis and solving, self-organization, oral communication, adaptability and quality orientation.
· Desire to work overseas and embrace localized cultures recognizing these differ across the Asian region
· Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and the skills to lead others and initiate change without being able to resort to direct power.
· Innovative problem solving skills requiring lateral thinking and ideas
· Up to 50% international (depending on location of residency) travelling to local subsidiaries, distributors and key accounts.
