Building on our expertise in radiology and AI, we are expanding into new areas such as gynaecology. One of our key innovations is BabyChecker, an Artificial Intelligence solution designed to improve the detection of complications during pregnancy, particularly in settings where access to quality maternal care is limited and maternal mortality remains high.

BabyChecker is still in an early stage of its journey, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a developing product with significant global health impact and to help shape the future of AI-driven maternal care.

Role

You will be part of our in-house AI development team, collaborating with stakeholders such as deep learning engineers, research institutions and AI professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to impactful projects in the healthcare sector.

Our new software developer is someone who enjoys working on the logic and structure behind applications, understands data structures, application flows, software architecture, and development processes, and is not afraid of contributing across the stack when needed. While the focus is backend development, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Android development, especially with Kotlin or Java. Experience with Python is also highly valued.

The ideal candidate is someone curious, practical and proactive, on the look for improving the way things work, automate processes and using technology to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems
• Develop and improve backend services, APIs, and application logic
• Understand, optimize, and document application flows and system interactions
• Contribute to the redesign and modernization of the application frontend to ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code with a strong focus on performance and security
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate internal or product-related processes
• Collaborate with QA to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement new features and enhancements
• Contribute Android expertise to support current or future mobile product development

Educational background and skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development or a related field
• Understanding of data structures, software design, and application flows
• Experience in backend development using Python or Java
• Experience with development frameworks such as Django, Spring. Others are also valued.
• Familiarity with development workflows
• Experience with Android development in Kotlin or Java is a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
