Service & Maintenance Technician – Heavy Machinery

As a Service & Maintenance Technician, you’ll handle diverse technical challenges every day. You’ll perform custom modifications on vehicles or systems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and carry out scheduled maintenance. Of course, you’ll test your work and ensure everything functions flawlessly. Working with modern technology, you’ll also actively contribute ideas for solutions. Sometimes you’ll work independently, other times with a colleague. Always with a strong focus on quality.

Your main tasks will include:

• 
  
• performing maintenance, service, repairs, testing, and adjustments
  
• hydraulics, mechanics, electrical engineering, and modern control systems.
  
• designing and implementing custom solutions for vehicles and systems.
  
• handling administrative processing of all completed tasks.

Depending on where you live, you’ll be based at one of our workshops in IJsselstein, Geldermalsen, or De Kwakel. Wherever you work, you’ll join a friendly and supportive team where your input is valued and your contribution matters.

In addition to our headquarters in IJsselstein, we have sites in De Kwakel (near Schiphol) and Geldermalsen.

You are an experienced technician who enjoys hands-on work and takes responsibility. You work accurately, think in solutions, and can operate both independently and as part of a team. You proactively think along to prevent malfunctions from recurring.

Preferably you also bring:

• 
  
• a completed vocational (MBO) education, preferably in Agricultural Engineering, Vehicle Technology, or Mechanical Engineering.
  
• relevant work experience in machine or equipment construction or in a workshop. Affinity with heavy-duty vehicles and/or special vehicles is a plus.
  
• good command of English. Preferably Dutch as well.

We do NOT have on-call shifts or rotating shifts. You’ll work weekdays during the day, always with Friday afternoons off.

Based on a 38-hour workweek you can also expect:

• a salary between €3,250 and €4,000 (depending on your skills and experience).
  
• a bonus of up to 3% of your annual salary including holiday allowance, based on company results and your individual performance.
  
• 8% holiday allowance.
  
• 25 vacation days.
  
• travel allowance of € 0.23 per km.
  
• participation in the Metal Industry Pension Fund (with two-thirds of contributions paid by Terberg).
