Senior System Engineer

A leading imaging and consumer electronics company based in Amsterdam are seeking to bolster their team with a talented Senior Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Define and integrate complete system architecture across MCU/SoC, memory, power, sensing, actuation, storage, and wireless subsystems.
• Lead schematic design and guide PCB layout for high-speed, multi-layer, impedance-controlled boards.
• Bring up, validate, and test hardware through EVT, DVT, and PVT stages, including EMC and reliability testing.
• Build test fixtures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with firmware and mechanical teams.
• Work directly with EMS partners to optimize DFM/DFT, improve yield, manage BOM, and qualify second sources.
• Balance performance, reliability, and cost to deliver a high-quality product to production.

Requirements:

• Proven experience shipping at least two consumer electronics products to mass production.
• Strong background in designing both analog and digital circuits, including power management and high-speed interfaces.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium) and experience leading multi-layer layout reviews.
• Hands-on experience debugging complex hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and custom test fixtures.
• Practical knowledge of factory builds, NPI processes, and working with EMS partners in Asia.
• Bonus: Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi, USB-C, or Power Delivery.
• Bonus: Familiarity with imaging systems or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Bonus: Programming skills for test automation (Python or similar).
• Bonus: Understanding of safety and regulatory certification processes.
