What will you do as a Senior Software Test Designer?

As a Senior Software Test Designer, you’ll lead the development of automated tests and qualification tools. You’ll design and implement smart testing strategies, optimize processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement. By mentoring junior engineers and acting as a sparring partner for customers, you’ll help raise the bar for quality and innovation.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Software Test Designer:

• Overseeing the entire testing architecture/ strategies, process, from planning to execution. This role involves developing automated test capabilities, selecting tools, and defining processes for efficient and effective testing;
• Write software (C++, C, Python) for objective, reproducible and maintainable automated tests and development of tools for qualification and integration;
• Explore different solution approaches to achieve the best result;
• Design, implement and optimize chosen solutions;
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary, and Agile environment;
• Review code and mentor (junior) engineers;
• Share your expertise to elevate the team, quality, and processes;
• Advisor and sparring partner for customers and stakeholders and inspiring others to strive for quality.

What do you bring as a Senior Software Test Designer?

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems or similar;
• At least 7 years of experience in software development with Python and C/C++ in the high-tech domain;
• You are capable of defining and overseeing the complete test architecture and strategy, ensuring consistency and quality from planning to execution;
• A background in software development/ automation and experience with Object-Oriented programming and develop test frameworks for complex embedded systems;
• Preferably experience with end-to-end test automation, continuous integration and setting up and maintaining ROBOT test framework;
• You have proven experience with various testing techniques, solid knowledge of higher-level testing (system integration, component testing), and are familiar with methods such as BDD, keyword-driven testing, data-driven testing, model-based testing, and property-based testing;
• You are a team player, solution-oriented, and proactive;
• Motivation to continuously improve yourself and develop new skills;
• A good command of English, and preferably Dutch language.
