As Lead Engineer , you are the technical driving force behind complex offshore projects. You combine deep structural engineering expertise with leadership skills to guide teams toward high quality designs for fixed offshore structures. From concept to detailed design, you play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and innovative solutions for the offshore wind and oil and gas industries.

Role summary

As Lead Engineer, you are responsible for the technical execution and coordination of structural engineering activities. You lead a team of engineers, safeguard technical quality and act as a trusted technical partner for project management and clients.

Your tasks include:

• Leading and coaching a team of structural engineers and monitoring progress and planning
• Developing concept, basic and detailed designs for fixed offshore structures such as jackets, monopiles, tripods, transition pieces and topsides
• Performing and reviewing structural analyses including in place, fatigue, serviceability and accidental limit state calculations
• Executing and supervising pre service analyses such as load out, transport and lifting
• Providing technical consultancy and advice across multiple projects
• Coordinating technical interfaces with project managers and clients
• Preparing and reviewing engineering reports and technical documentation
• Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, norms and safety requirements

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• At least 8 years of experience in structural engineering within the offshore industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or senior engineering role
• Extensive experience with jackets, monopiles, topsides and offshore foundations
• Strong knowledge of structural analyses including ULS, FLS, SLS and ALS
• Experience with bolted, welded and grouted connections, VIV and wave loading
• Proficient in SACS and familiar with tools such as Ansys, Femap, Usfos or GRLWEAP
• Solid understanding of applicable offshore standards such as DNV, ISO and Eurocodes
• Strong communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage
• Solution driven mindset with the ability to lead, motivate and collaborate
