The company:

Seatrade Groningen is one of the oldest and largest shipping companies in the Netherlands with almost 75 years of experience. Initially started with the transport of general cargo, now specialized in the transportation of deep-frozen fish, meat, and refrigerated cargo such as kiwis, avocados, and bananas with ships sailing worldwide.

The management of the ships takes place from the office in Groningen, while the commercial activities are handled from the office in Breda.

Currently we are looking for a: Fleetteam Assistant

The job:

You are part of the Fleetteam, a team of professionals responsible for the day to day technical and marine operation of a group of vessels.

As Fleetteam Assistant you have a variety of tasks and the following main responsibilities:

• Keeping the certification of the vessels valid and up to date, including organising surveys timely, effectively and updating the administration accordingly.

• Purchasing the required lubricants that are ordered by the vessels crew and to ensure that lubricants are delivered timely and efficiently on board worldwide.

• Supporting your colleagues of the Fleetteam and vessels to ensure various processes are followed correctly and that the administration is up to date.

• Take care of guarantee claims of the Newbuilding department.

In this position, you are expected to be self-directed, proactive and have a desire to learn. In addition, you are service-oriented, accurate, organised and a problem solver.

The requirements:

• Diploma MBO+ or higher

• Proven organisational skills and know how to prioritise

• Sound knowledge of the Dutch and English language

• Thorough knowledge of MS Office (365)

• Able to work in compliance with our Seatrade Standards

• Live in the vicinity of our office in Groningen

• EU citizen or otherwise in possession of a Dutch work visa
