Financial Controller

For our Finance team in Sneek , we’re looking for a meticulous and driven Financial Controller who is ready to take full ownership of our statutory and tax reporting. In this role, you’ll be the key guardian of our financial integrity, ensuring we stay compliant while providing high-quality insights to our shareholders and management. You are a specialist in Dutch GAAP and thrive in a structured, results-oriented environment.

What are you going to do?

As a Financial Controller , you’ll play a critical role in the reliability of our organisation’s financial backbone. You’ll be the primary point of contact for auditors and tax authorities, ensuring every report is accurate and every deadline is met. Based in our Sneek office, you’ll act as a strategic gatekeeper with a keen eye for both compliance and process improvement.

• You prepare statutory annual accounts under Dutch GAAP and lead external audits.
• You perform the monthly group consolidation, managing eliminations and intercompany reconciliations.
• You manage the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• You handle all tax compliance, including corporate income tax and VAT returns.
• You monitor key balance sheet positions and provide deep-dive analytical reviews.
• You actively drive improvements in internal controls and financial automation initiatives.
• You build strong relationships with the Group Controller and external regulators.

In addition, you have:

• Strong experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance, and consolidation .
• The ability to coordinate complex audits effectively and implement recommendations.
• A proactive drive to safeguard the organisation’s financial health and compliance.
