Finance Business partner

As our Finance Business Partner, you will be a strategic partner to the Managing Director of Sogelink Netherlands, translating financial data into actionable insights. You will support growth, optimize performance, and ensure financial integrity, directly contributing to Sogelink’s expansion in Europe. • Partner with the Netherlands MD to provide actionable financial insights and drive decision-making.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.

• Lead and coach FP&A Analyst/Junior Business Controller, ensuring high performance and professional development.

• Manage month-end P&L review and reporting, including revenue accounting entries, accruals, and variance analysis.

• Drive finance process improvements, including simplification, automation, and tracking of operational finance initiatives.

• Work cross-functionally to align local management and finance teams within a matrix structure.

• Perform deep-dive analysis on business lines, identifying solutions for Revenue/ARR growth, cost optimization, and Rule of 40 performance.

• Prepare and distribute standardized monthly financial reporting packages with supporting analysis; present to CEO, CFO, MD, and non-finance partners, highlighting key drivers of performance.

• Ensure accurate ARR tracking and forecasting via JMAN, Planful, and ERP systems.

• Support implementation and roll-out of Planful P&L tools, becoming the “go-to” expert for the Netherlands.

• Ensure ERP and Planful connections are accurate and resolve issues promptly with BI and Planful teams.

• Establish billing and utilization frameworks to maximize professional services and consultancy revenue.

• Develop strategic initiatives to boost bookings, recurring, and re-occurring revenue streams.

• Monitor performance of approved investment cases vs results.

• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and support M&A activities, including due diligence and related financing.

• Gather, integrate, and synthesize data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.

Who you are

• Experienced in financial planning, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.

• Experience in the software/tech sector, including ARR/recurring revenue models or private equity exposure, is highly desirable.

• Proficient with ERP and financial planning systems; advanced Excel and spreadsheet modeling skills.

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Able to translate complex data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.

• Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Self-starter with initiative, capable of thriving in a fast-paced international environment.

• Knowledge of SQL or other basic coding is a plus.

• Fluency in Dutch is a strong advantage.
