Purchase to Pay Expert - Direct

About The Role

As a Purchase to Pay Expert for Direct Procurement, you will shape, improve, and maintain our global Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes within the direct materials space. You will act as the connector between procurement strategy, operational teams, and technical experts — ensuring that our processes, data, and systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business needs. You will translate business requirements into clear functional designs, lead process improvements, and support our transition to best-in-class procurement operations enabled by SAP S/4HANA.

The Impact You’ll Make

Value delivery through efficient Purchase-to-Pay processes

• Design, implement, and continuously improve Direct Procurement P2P processes, ensuring operational excellence across manufacturing and commercial sites.
• Define the future roadmap for procurement processes, KPIs, operational models, and data standards.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce complexity, strengthen data quality, and drive end-to-end process efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance to procurement and cross-functional users, ensuring correct process and master data usage.

Stakeholder management & cross-functional collaboration

• Partner with business stakeholders, supply chain, finance teams, and suppliers to align requirements and embed best practices.
• Support global and regional teams in adopting new standards, tools, and process designs.
• Facilitate communication across procurement, IT, shared services, and external partners to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
• Participate in global networks to share insights, harmonize ways of working, and promote continuous improvement.
• Supporting escalations raised by Direct Procurement team

Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA procurement module

• Translate business needs into clear SAP functional specifications for configuration and development teams.
• Ensure that Direct Procurement processes within SAP S/4HANA and related tools are correctly designed, tested, and implemented.
• Lead system-related projects and enhancements covering master data, reporting, and new procurement capabilities.

The Skills And Knowledge You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• Solid experience in Procurement Experience (preferably for Direct Procurement and/or P2P), ideally with ownership of process design or process improvement (min 4-5 years).
• Hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA (or a similar ERP system) in procurement.
• Proficiency in Agile Methodology and familiarity with tools such as Azure Dev-ops
• Strong command of English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work across business and technical teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to simplify complexity and design scalable processes.
• Ability to see the bigger picture and connect process design with broader business strategy.
