MV Technical Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for machine vision projects, including solution evaluation, component selection, testing, and debugging.
• Design visual inspection solutions based on customer requirements (e.g., defect detection, positioning & measurement, OCR, deep learning, etc.).
• Install, configure, and debug industrial cameras, lenses, light sources, vision software, and algorithm modules.
• Assist sales teams and customers with technical communication, on-site troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Prepare technical documentation, including solution descriptions, debugging records, and operation manuals.
• Deliver training for customers on the use of machine vision systems.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to report product issues and customer needs, driving improvements to both software and hardware.

Qualifications

1. Education

Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Optical Engineering, Machine Vision, or related fields.

2. Technical Skills

• Familiarity with image processing algorithms such as defect detection, edge detection, measurement, template matching, and feature extraction.
• Experience with deep learning–based vision tasks (classification, segmentation, anomaly detection, object detection) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cameras, lenses, light sources, and hardware selection principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C++, C#) is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.

3. Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in machine vision or automation projects preferred (outstanding fresh graduates will also be considered).
• On-site debugging, equipment integration, or industrial automation experience is a plus.

4. Soft Skills

• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.
• Able to handle short business trips and work under pressure.
• Highly proactive and capable of driving project progress independently.
• Capability of Tech Terminology in Fluent Chinese is a MUST

Nice to Have

• Experience in visual defect inspection, OCR, 3D vision, or robot guidance applications.
• Knowledge of PLCs, industrial networks (EtherCAT/Profinet), or mechanical automation.
• Field experience in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, or manufacturing industries.
