Energy Data Platform Engineer

Weheat is re-engineering heat pumps because we believe this product plays a key role in the energy transition and deserves radical innovation. We redesign everything starting at the circuit board level to make heating affordable and simple. Our software is just as critical: Weheat Intelligence takes over the complexity, so homeowners don’t have to—and can maximize savings on costs and CO₂.

From our factory in Eindhoven, we develop and build our heat pumps. In our new hub in the center of Utrecht, everything the outside world sees comes together: commercial growth, our digital products, and support for installers and consumers. Eindhoven is the high-tech engine; Utrecht is the customer-focused heart.

Your Mission

Sophisticated control algorithms rely on the integrity and latency of data. We ingest high-frequency telemetry from our fleet alongside external market and meteorological data. We need a Data Platform Engineer to build an immutable, scalable infrastructure. You ensure that our Data Scientists and Control Engineers are working with a "Single Source of Truth."

The Challenge

• Telemetry Pipelines: You design and maintain high-throughput pipelines for IoT time-series data, ensuring low latency and high availability.
• Data Governance: You implement "Data Contracts" and schema validation. You ensure strict consistency between the physical device state and the digital twin.
• Reproducibility: You architect the data lake/warehouse to support historical replay and back-testing, allowing researchers to validate hypotheses on past events.
• Integration: You build reliable interfaces (APIs) for external data sources (dynamic tariffs, weather models) that act as critical inputs for our control loops.
