What They Are Looking For

They are seeking a CSA Commercial Manager to oversee the Civil, Structural and Architectural packages across large-scale building projects in the Netherlands. Reporting into the Project Director and Regional Commercial leadership, this role will take full responsibility for the commercial performance of major CSA packages within complex programmes.

The role has arisen due to continued project growth within healthcare, pharmaceutical and data centre sectors. The successful candidate will drive commercial strategy, oversee procurement and subcontractor management, ensure robust contract administration and maintain financial control across high-value packages.

This position requires an experienced Commercial Manager with a proven track record delivering large-scale building projects within Tier 1 or major contractor environments. You will be commercially astute, confident in high-value negotiations and capable of balancing executive reporting with detailed package oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of CSA packages across major building projects
• Develop and manage cost plans, forecasts and commercial reporting
• Drive procurement strategy and negotiate high-value subcontract packages
• Administer contracts and manage change control processes
• Oversee risk identification and mitigation strategies
• Prepare and present monthly CVRs and financial updates
• Manage variations, claims and final accounts
• Lead and mentor site-based commercial teams
• Maintain strong client and consultant relationships
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory frameworks

Criteria for the Role

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on large-scale building projects
• Background within Tier 1 or major international contractor environments
• Experience delivering healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial or data centre projects advantageous
• Strong contract management and procurement expertise
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-value subcontract packages
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Ability to operate confidently within complex, multi-disciplinary project teams
