The work of carpenters is often as follows:

• Repairing and fitting doors, floors, frames, roofs, stairs, ceilings, walls, window sills and/or other (wooden) structures
• Studying sketches, drawings, specifications and building plans in preparation for actual carpentry work
• Checking the soundness and condition of existing constructions (e.g. using spirit level and square)
• Determining dimensions and distances using tools such as measuring tape, pencil, folding rule and chalk
• Cutting wooden boards and beams to size using (power) tools
• Fastening building materials together using nails, screws, bolts, etc.
• Finishing joints and seams (e.g. with skirting boards or sealant)

In this position at this company, you will mainly be disassembling and reassembling wooden crates (for transport of large high-tech parts) on a daily basis. You will do this on the basis of technical drawings and guidelines.

Furthermore, your tasks include:

• Noticing and reporting deviations
• Ensuring quality
• Working safely

You will work in 2 shifts and the hours are one week Monday to Friday from 6.00-15.00 and the other week Monday to Friday from 15.00-00.00.
