Accounting & Transactions Consultant

Up to €65K + bonus + car allowance

EMEA Recruitment has exclusively partnered with a global strategy consultancy in their search for an Accounting & Transactions Consultant to join them in Amsterdam.

You will join a dynamic advisory team supporting clients through complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs.

As an Accounting & Transactions Consultant, you’ll help organizations strengthen their financial operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and build scalable finance structures to support growth.

Responsibilities of Accounting & Transactions Consultant:

• Support clients throughout the transaction lifecycle by preparing and structuring key financial information
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of deals and timely decision-making
• Assess and optimize finance operating models to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business strategy
• Design and formalize finance processes and internal controls, such as Purchase-to-Pay and Record-to-Report
• Provide actionable insights to enhance financial transparency and decision-making before, during, and after transactions
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across Corporate Finance, Strategy, and Operations to deliver integrated solutions

Experience & Qualifications Required:

• At least 3 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, or Control - ideally as a Financial Controller, Accountant, or within transaction advisory; experience in a start-up or scale-up environment would be beneficial
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or similar
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP)
• Proven analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills (both languages are essential)
